Hello @iimlana @13Vader @eleastro @JennieMee @letterrow and anyone else encountering this issue,

  • Does your monitor have a touchscreen?
  • What resolution is your monitor?
  • Are there any other programs running while the game is running?  (Other than Origin)
  • Is Origin In-Game enabled or disabled?
  • Would you be willing to send me this file?  \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Options.ini

EDIT: Never mind.  I think we have it narrowed down for now.  We'll look into it.  Thanks again Standard smile

★★ Guide
  • No touchscreen.
  • Monitor 1920x1080 (for the game I use 1600x900)
  • No programs running usually when I play (may be sometimes iTunes, Photos or Safari if I don't notice)
  • Origin Enabled

Hi @13Vader,

You can attach that file to your post here on Answers HQ (Choose File button below the post box), but as AHQ doesn't allow .ini files you would need to save the file as a text file first.

  1. Right click the Options.ini file and select copy
  2. Paste the file on your Desktop
  3. Right click this file and select Rename
  4. Highlight the entire file name (including the .ini bit), delete the current name and rename it to Options.txt. Make sure to choose the 'Use .txt' on the prompt.

Once done you can either edit your old post or make a new one to attach the file.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
