Origin repetitively crashing

[ Edited ]

Hello,
I recently bought Sims 4 on my Mac from the origin store from the application. After about 61% of the download completed, it said "Origin download paused, waiting for permission." I decided to quit the app to restart the download. However, after that, Origin kept crashing. Whenever I opened origin, it said, "application not responding." I have tried to reinstall origin, and used the origin reset tool. Still, nothing. Frankly, I am very disappointed. If there is no way to fix it, is there a way for me to get a refund?

My Mac specs:
Mid-2012 MacBook Air, 4gb ram, 257gb memory

Hi @AnantMohan,

Please try manually uninstalling Origin from your Mac.

Start by dragging the Origin client launcher or executable file to Trash or Recycle Bin.

To remove all traces of the Origin client from your system, open Finder and hold Command--or the Apple Key--Shift and G to open a Go to the folder: prompt, and type in ~/Library/ and hit Go.

In ~/Library/:

  1. Go into Preferences and delete com.ea.origin.plist
  2. Go back to ~/Library/ and then head into Launchdaemons and delete com.ea.origin.eshelper.plist
  3. Go back to ~/Library/ and now jump into Application Support and delete origin
  4. Go back to ~/Library/ and, finally, go into Priveligedhelpertools and delete com.ea.origin.eshelper

Completing the steps above should completely remove the Origin client from your system.

After that, please download Origin from here and reinstall it.
