Origin app sims 4 legacy edition

I play the sims 4 on a MacBook pro when legacy edition came out orgins sent me a message to download it. I was able to play with legacy edition for a while. Now when I load up orgins I see it uninstalled legacy edition but I'm still able to play sims 4 without it. I want to buy the new pack because I see I don't needleagcy edition to play anymore but don't know if it would work.

You are definitely running the Legacy Edition. Your Mac does not support Metal so it is not able to run the current version of the game which means you won't be able to run Eco Lifestyle

If it shows the Legacy Edition is uninstalled that is most likely a glitch.
