I have been having this issue for about two months now, and although I hav done a lot of research on it, nothing seems to fix this. Some strategies that seem to have worked are for windows or another computer brand, where I have a Mac. I have tried restarting my computer, redownloading origin, ensuring that computer is completely updated, etc. I have had this issue before and restarting my computer fixed it, but now it seems like nothing works! Considering I have payed a lot of money on specially Sims 4 and it is one of my most played games this has become extremely upsetting. I have even just tried to just play offline mode but it doesn't feel the same. If anyone has a solution to this issue for a Mac computer, please let me know!

@Basically_Broke Try running the Origin reset tool for macs. It removes files that even a normal uninstall won't reach.

If that doesn't work, please list your computer's specs, as described in this post:

Although the first step didn't work I followed the second step in the first forum with reaching out to EA and it worked! Thanks for your help!
