Origin Not Connecting with Mac OS X El Capitan

I recently updated my Macbook pro to OS X El Capitan and I'm having problems with connecting to the gallery etc. I've tried reinstalling Origin multiple times and I granted Origin access for incoming connections in my Firewall, but still no luck. Is there anything else I could do to try and fix this problem?

Do you use CC/Mods? Apparently having a lot of 3rd party content in your Mods folder can cause this issue. If so remove it and try again.

Turn off any antivirus you may be running too.

Thank you so much, I removed my mods folder and it connected right away!
