No animals in sims 3 pets

  I have the expansions game sims 3 pets but whenever I play sims it's the base-game, with no animals in it?

That means that it hasn't installed properly so you need to follow the instructions for a manual uninstall which is a bit further down that page.

if your game is up to date at 1.69 in the launcher expansion/stuff manager check to see if the pack is ticked in (not install) just ticked in see image for an example

I play through Origin so the expansion game is installed in the sims 3 already and should work since it says "play" (when i click on the information button to se the expansions I've installed, "the sims 3 pets" says "play"), but there's no animals to be seen..?

That picture you showed doesn't look the same for me when I click on downloads (it only says downloads for me, but in swedish), I can only see hairstyles and clothes I've bought and downloaded. 

I asked origin for help two times but with no luck.

I've found a pet shop to download when I click on "Downloads" now, but I can't download it, nothing happens when I try to. The symbol of it is a box, the type is unknown etc. I have no clue what to do!

OP is at 1.67 pets is not installed  although their game says it is

launcher doesn't recognize it as installed.

Did you download the expansion pack through Origin or do you have pets on disc ?

Problem is that the origin download version no longer works with 1.67. You would need to update to 1.69 or install pets through the disc.

Thank you guys for helping me out. I did it through Origin. I have a mac so there's nowhere to put in a disc on my computer. Should I contact Origin about this?
