@EliasVersace

Thanks! I loaded it absolutely fine Frown I tested on a 2017 15" MBP with AMD Radeon Pro 560 4GB. Interesting that it's only that lot and in a clean game too. You did have a completely clean Sims 4 folder? Not just a new saves folder?

After reinstalling, I cleaned out the saves folder but didn't touch the rest of the folder. Can I just move the whole folder to desktop and start the game? Will it automatically generate a new folder?

Yep, the folder will recreate when you load the game Standard smile

I tested it quickly and after removing The Sims 4 folder and the glitch isn't there anymore! Do you think the glitch had to do with the unsupported graphics card and it just stuck around after I edited the graphics card file? I'm gonna run some extra tests with my mods and original saves to see what could have caused it.

Thanks so much for your help!

Great! I would test the saves first. If it's ok then go with the save afterwards.

When you move the Mods folder out to test a vanilla game you should always trash the localthumbcache.package too.

Did you move the ConfigOverride folder back into the new Sims 4 folder so your edit is still applied? You can easily check if your card is supported by looking in the Config.log file.

I didn't move the ConfigOverride folder back in, but in the Config.log file it says that my graphics card is still supported:

Name (database): AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT [Found: 1, Supported: 1])

Should I move the ConfigOverride folder back in anyways?

Did you edit the GraphicsCards.sgr file in the Sims 4 app or copy over the file to the ConfigOverride folder and edit that one? It's good to keep copies in the ConfigOverride folder, much easier to access.

Ah yes I edited it in the Sims 4 resources folder. I'm gonna start using the ConfigOverride folder now. I'm going to place some of my favorite  mods back into the game folder and run some tests with it. Maybe an outdated mod caused that one lot to glitch?

Hi again! I have to come back to this unfortunately. Today I tried playing with a completely fresh 'The Sims 4' folder, no mods, only the edited Graphicscards.svg and nothing else - and the glitching happened again, in the exact same way as before. Could it be that adding the new graphics card to the game's list isn't enough to make it compatible? Or is it impossible that that's the problem? Otherwise, you think it could be a problem caused by a new version of Mac OS X Catalina or something? It's just so strange...
