@elizabeth211995 Yes, it would affect Sims 4, both because formatting a hard drive would erase it and that Sims 4 wouldn't run off a drive in that format. But if you partition the drive first, using Disk Utility, you can reformat one partition while not touching the other(s). Make sure you're leaving enough space for Windows 10 and Sims 3, plus your user data, in the one partition, while leaving enough for Sims 4 to get bigger on the other partition, and you should be fine.
