My sims is stuck, on finilizing

★★★ Newbie

So for the last week, my sims has gone weird and it will open sims but glitch out again. Yesterday at about 12 I attempted to repair the game and for the past day its been stuck on 'Finalizing' and won't stop. I can't shut my Mac down or exit origin. is there a quick fix to this?

@ellahoop05  First of all, any time you have an app that won't quit, you can use command-optn-esc to bring up the Force Quit menu and then shut it down from there.

Once you've restarted your computer, you can try running the Origin reset tool for macs:

https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

It will also help to disable Origin in-game, if and when you get that far.  But after the Origin reset, it's probably a good idea to try another repair.  If it freezes again, you'll probably need to do a TS4 super repair, as described here:

If you can repair TS4 but can't launch or play the game, or it freezes somewhere along the way, try pulling your entire game folder out of Documents and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game again, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  Play in this folder for a bit, just to make sure everything works, and then you can move your saves and other content into it from your old folder.

If none of this helps, please post your computer's specs here, as described in the following post, as well as a list of the packs you have installed:
