My game won't launch, please verify ownership

Hi there, 

I was having so much trouble installing The Sims 3 onto my Mac, but finally I managed to do so. I then downloaded the expansion packs I own in Origin also.

I never launched the game though, as when I click play in the game launcher I get a message saying my game is unable to launch as EA is unable to verify ownership of my game? 

I don't understand this as I do own these games and purchased them in 2014. 

Anyone else had this issue or know how to fix? It's very frustrating!
