My game is down having frame rate drops after eco living

Before hand my computer ran the sims fine, always had around 40-50 frames, even tho that is odd because I play other games that are more intense at a higher frame rate. But after installing eco living there has been choppy ness and frame rate drops, sometimes I drop down to 20-30 frames which shouldn’t happen. I had a pretty good graphics card that i just got not too long ago. I’m confused as to why my game is now choppy.
