A few nights ago I tried to open up the Sims 4, but my Origin says "Application Not Responding". Each time I try to force quit Origin nothing happens. I've tried right clicking, and using the force quit when clicking on the apple on the top left corner. I've tried letting my computer die, restarting, and shutting down my computer, but nothing happens. I attempted deleting Origin, to download a new one, but of course- Origin needs to be closed to be deleted, so that didn't work.

Can you force shut down your Mac by holding down the power button for a few seconds until it turns off. This isn’t ideal but you seem to have no other options.
Next, hold down the shift key and start up your Mac again. Keep the shift key held down until you get to the login window then log in as normal. This is booting into safe mode, you can read about it here - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201262
Now run the Origin reset tool - https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/ Once you see the confirmation window that the tool has removed the cache and other files, go into your Applications folder and drag the Origin app to your trash.
Empty the trash, restart your Mac normally then download and install Origin.

@xsageoo It sounds like Origin might be set to open on startup, which you can disallow in Application Settings > Application > Startup Options. This would explain how Origin reopened after you restarted your computer.
It's exceedingly rare that a force-quit command doesn't work, but perhaps you could try through the Activity Monitor instead. Go to Applications\Utilities and open Activity Monitor, then highlight Origin and click the X in the upper left corner of the AM window. Then run the Origin reset tool for macs and do a clean uninstall of Origin.

(It occurred to me that it might be worth disconnecting from the internet when trying to shut down Origin or when restarting your computer, as the app might be attempting to update itself or your account.)
If the above steps don't work, please provide your mac's specs here, as described in this post:

I couldn't restart my computer because Origin won't close. I'm also very confused as to how I find the Application/Utilities.

@xsageoo First, go into Origin, click on your username and select Application Settings. Under the first tab, scroll down to Startup Options, and make sure that the option to open on startup is turned off. (It should be gray instead of green.)
Now click on the Finder icon in the lower left corner of your screen, select Applications from the choices on the left side of the Finder window, open the Utilities folder, and double-click on Activity Monitor. You'll see a list of all processes currently running on your computer. Click on Origin to highlight it, then click the X in the upper left corner of the AM window.

That's the problem, I can't get into Origin. It's stuck, I can't get into it or close it.

@xsageoo Then just do the second part (going to the Activity Monitor and closing Origin from there).
Again, it might help to disconnect from the internet.

Origin isn't on the list.
