My Game (sims 4) won't launch :(

Every time i try to launch my sims 4 game, origin opens normally, however when i press the sims 4 icon to launch the game, it pops up in the tool bar (i have a mac) then disappears again and takes be back to my games list in origin. Its done this many times and i'm honestly really frustrated since i just bought some new expansion packs that i really would like to play!
