Moving inventory items

★★★ Novice

Hi

im not sure if this is the right place to post so let me know where the best place to post will be.

I have a Mack book pro (2018 version I think). Gameplay seems to be ok although the fan inside my MacBook is constantly going.

Since yesterday’s update I’m finding I can’t pick things up and put them into or out of my inventory. Before the update i could pick them up but now I find I have to click place in world or place in inventory.

Can anyone help as to how I can pick things up to place them into inventory?

also how do I rotate items in build mode?? I’m finding i have to rotate the camera to the direction I want and then place it

I hope you can help

many thanks

@amio2020 Do you use a mouse or the trackpad?

Please can you provide more information about your Mac. Instructions on how to do so and what to provide here - http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612...

Can you move the Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop and then launch a brand new, clean game and see if you still have the issue?

It’s a trackpad. Should I try with a mouse?

@amio2020

The pointing device should make no difference. Have you tried repairing your game? Did you try a new Sims 4 folder?

No not yet. I’m new to having a MacBook so I’m not sure how to make a new folder? How do I repair the game??

To repair - right click on the game in your Origin games library and select Repair Game.

To force the game to create a new Sims 4 folder, go into your Documents folder then the Electronic Arts folder and drag the Sims 4 folder to the desktop.
