Mouse not working in game or in menu

I re-downloaded Sims 4 back onto my MacBook Pro. It launches fine, however, the mouse does not work properly in the game. It darts across the screen with the slightest movement, and I can't click on anything and can't enter into a game because of this. I have not experienced this issue before. Origin and my computer are fully updated, and I have no issues with mouse use outside of game.

Repair the game a couple of times and see if that helps. Are you using a 3rd party mouse or Apple mouse?
