Mods not showing up in game [ Edited ]

Your answer makes complete sense, except that I don't have a localthumbcache.package file in the game's file folder

In fact, EVERYTHING looks completely different after the game update. I had the exact same problem/did the same thing OP did back up top, and now I got stuck with this not-too-good looking situation. I should mention I'm on a Mac OS. I know, I know, it's all I have alright. Don't know if this makes any difference?

That’s the wrong folder. Did you right click on the game and show package contents to get there? Your Mods folder is in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. You need to launch the game for the Sims 4 folder to appear.

I've split and moved your post out of the PC tech thread to the Mac forum.

Could you post a screenshot of your Sims 4 folder contents?

I've searched elsewhere in my computer just in case, but this is all that's in my one Electronic Arts folder. No mods folder there either. This is after uninstall/install, all that jazz.

Thank GOD you said that, I did do exactly that (right click on game icon) and that's where I ended up.
