Mods folder randomly wiped clean

All contents from my Sims 4 mods folder is gone. All CC and mods have disappeared. I have not messed around at all with moving the folder. It was fine last night, I closed out of the game normally after being upset over the birthday cake not having a topping option and had disabled mods and stuff because I was testing to see if that was causing the issues. Today I opened the game back up and re-eneabled the mods, restarted the game but my Sims were still naked. When I checked, everything in my mods folder was gone but ofc the Resource.cfg file. My sims 3 mods are still in their folder and so are my Sims 4 custom music. Everything seems fine except my Mods folder. I have over 6GB of mostly CC and mods.... 

Any idea what happened or how I could ever possibly get it back?
