Mods folder doesn't exist

★★ Novice

I've never had a mods folder in my Sims 4 package. Tried making my own mods folder. Tried turning off and on the mods/cc option. Then tried repairing the game. Then tried taking out the mods folder I created, turned off and on the mods/cc option to see if my game would generate its own mods folder. None of these worked. My macbook is up to date and so is my game. At this point I'm thinking about backing up my files and just redownloading the whole game.

Any solutions/help/ideas would be appreciated!

@sunsetpath

What do you mean in your Sims 4 package? Where are you trying to create a Mods folder? The Mods folder is in your Sims 4 folder where your saves, Tray and screenshots folders are.

Hi,

If you go to Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4, and see no mods folder, you can create one titled Mods.

Make sure Custom Content is turned on inn The Sims 4, and if it is, and mods you put in your new mods folder should show up in game.
