Mac update, lost all saves on sims 4

★★★ Newbie

Hello, i have a Mac. and this is the second time this have happend to me. Everytime i update my mac, i lose all my game files. First time this happend I lost all my saves and i had to start over. This second time it happend same thing, my mac updates its software and i lose my saves. but now i have the original save that i lost the first time. I have used alot of time on the 2nd save and i would like my sims back.

the save files that i have right now its called:

Slot_00000004.save

Slot_00000004.save.ver0

Slot_00000004.save.ver1

And those are the only save files that i currently have on my mac, and i had like atleast 7 sims families on the "2nd" save and on the first save that i now have back i only got like 1-2 sims families.

Can anyone help me?

Check your iCloud Drive settings. Sounds like you're enabling your Mac to store your Documents folder in the cloud.

@Finn_osrs

Have you looked in your iCloud Drive for the older saves?

@Finn_osrs

If it hasn't been overwritten then it should be in your old iCloud file somewhere. Do you have any Time Machine or manual backups you may have saved it to?
