Mac sims 4 crash

just when editing a sim, for about a min in, the game crashes / freezes and it doesn’t allow me to return to the main menu of the game or computer. i have to click the power (on button) to restart my computer. 

i’ve deleted all my mods, i’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the game 3 times and it continues to do the same issue. 

am i the only one with this issue, is this involved from the new patch / update for the game? because i see that everyone else has a different story and haven’t seen someone mention about this particular problem. please help!
