sims 4 won’t launch

Hello, I have been playing sims for years now and I’m very frustrated that it is not working. It says “unable to start due to missing game data. Please download The Sims Four Legacy Edition from origin.” I already have legacy edition and has been using it for almost a year without any problems. I already tried taking my cc and mods out but that didn’t work. I also restarted my computer multiple times and still didn’t have any luck. I would be rly happy if someone could help me.😀
