Mac 64 bit Game randomly crashes without warning

After around 10 minutes of gameplay, my sims 3 game randomly crashes without warning! It just closes randomly and comes up with a report error. I've recently just downloaded the game and there aren't any CC or mods in the game. Can someone help me? I really wanna play the game but it's so frustrating

@wanjun121 What is the error you are getting? also to start can you try running a repair via the Origin client and seeing if this continues?

Repair:
- Open Origin > Got to my game library
- Right-click sims 3 > Select reapir

@wanjun121  Please attach your deviceconfig.log to a post; it's in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3.  (You'll need to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search.)  You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.

Please also list the packs you have installed.

@EA_Illium oh sorry, it's actually a crash report that I get after the game crashes. And yes I've tried repairing the game but it still crashes.

@puzzlezaddict the packs I've installed are ambitions, generations, late night, pets, seasons, and university life.

@wanjun121  Try turning lighting quality to the minimum setting.  (Change it at the Main Menu, then quit to desktop and reload before loading a save.)  If that doesn't make a difference, try playing in windowed mode.

However, the issue may be Pets.  Many players with your hardware or similar have trouble playing with any pets in the house, or sometimes anywhere in the world.  You can try starting a new save without any household pets, and if that doesn't help, try deleting the EP05 folder (Pets is expansion pack 5) from the Sims 3 Packs folder, which will uninstall the pack without any other steps necessary.  The folder is usually in one of two places, Applications or Macintosh HD > Users > your username > Applications.

If you do uninstall Pets, you'll need to start a new save, since your current save will be missing critical data.

@puzzlezaddict I've already tried lowering the settings and played in windowed mode but those didn't work. However, I'll try deleting pets and see if that helps! I didn't have any pets in my household but like you said, it could possibly just be the pets around the world. I'll try and let you know if it works! Thank you

@puzzlezaddict YES IT WORKED! after deleting pets, my game runs smoothly now. Is EA gonna come with more updates for 64 bit? because I would like to play with pets as well

@wanjun121  I know that EA is aware that the Pets pack runs badly for many people with integrated graphics chips, as you have.  I don't know whether this will be fixed, or even if it can be without major changes.  Pets has always been the most demanding expansion by a clear margin, and people who play in Windows generally need a gaming graphics card to play it with much success.

Because the issue is how animals are rendered and their routing restrictions, it might take a complete reworking of animals overall to fix this.  Or there might be a shortcut.  I don't really know.  But what I do know is that the 64-bit version was always just a compatibility update, meant to make the game run in 64-bit on a newer graphics API; it was never supposed to fix existing issues.  And pets have been a massive issue since the pack was released.
