I have had sims 4 for mac for a while and had no problems at all. I used to play using os x mountain lion and it ran fine but recently after downloading OS X yosemite 10.10.3 it won't allow me to open sims 4 and doesn't even let me on the game launcher. it keeps saying 'application not responding' and then i send a report to apple and repeat the process. I have a few towns in process and I really would like to continue playing them if at all possible.

Can you right click on the game in your Origin games library and select Repair Game.
Let me know if that works.

What Mac do you have?
Are you using CC/Mods?
Can you move your Sims 4 folder out onto your desktop and try a clean game, see if that works? Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
