I've installed The Sims 4 as well as the Spooky Stuff pack. I have the latest version of Mac ( OS X El Capitan ), but it refuses to launch the game. It says that the application is not responding. 
Please give us a little more information about your Mac. Like what kind it is and what kind of graphics card it has. Please note that there are known issues with certain Nvidia graphics cards that should be fixed in the December patch.
