I dowloaded The Sims 4. To do so, I had to update my OS X in my MacBook. Origin asked for 10.7 (I had 10.6.8.), so I updated (OS X El Capitan). Now that this is done, I try to play The Sims 4 and this message pops up: Unable to start: Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play The Sims™ 4 [d3382ced:984c6a38:00000001:00000000]. What can I do about it? The OS X is updated!

What version of OS X are you running? Have you turned off any antivirus you may have installed and checked that the in built firewall in OS X is not blocking Origin's connection?
