Get rid of MacKeeper straight away. It's a really nasty piece of software and more often than not actually compromises the operating system resulting in instability and deleted files. For more info read the following links:

You don't need any clean up apps on your Mac. The operating system does a very good job of defragging and tidying itself up every time you restart it.
After you've successfully got rid of it go to Applications > Disk Utility then select your hard drive in the left hand side panel and choose Repair Disk and then Repair Permissions.
No, repairing the game doesn't take long
Let me know how your game is after you've done all that.

Which exact model Mac do you have? Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on More Info depending on what operating system you're running:
- Operating System (Version)
- Mac model
- Processor
- Memory (RAM)
- Graphics
- Are you running any antivirus?
- Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?
- Have you tried to repair the game in Origin? Right click on the game in My Games and select Repair Game.
- What Expansion, Stuff and Game Packs do you have installed?
Can you check how big your save folder is for me? Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 then click once on saves to highlight it, hold down CMD and press i. You will see the size in the top right corner of the window that opens.
