[MAC] Get To Work Crashes at Retail Lot [ Edited ]

Running with NO MODS, SCRIPTS or CUSTOM CONTENT

iMac 27" 2010

2.8Ghz i5

16GB Ram

ATI Radeon HD5750 1GB

OSX 10.10.2

All expansions and addon packs installed

When I purchase a retail lot the game plays fine but if I send my Sim home and then try and send them back to the lot the game crashes.

The only way I can solve this is to sell the lot on the neighborhood screen and repurchase it but the issue reoccurs if I send my Sim home and back to the lot again.

Yes I had installed the cupcake maker on the retail lot

But the game no longer crashes since the last patch so they must have fixed something that caused it.

Did you start a new game? Just wondering as that has helped some users. Also try moving your Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4) to the desktop and allow the game to generate a new one. One other option is to repair the game.

I've tried to repair the game but it did not resolve the issue.

As for starting a new game I have not. I can try but ultimately this will not solve my problem as I lose 400 Hours of gameplay. Id rather play without the ability to ever buy a retail lot over that.

When people start a new game, it allows all the content to load correctly without possible conflicts. Once the content is successfully loaded, you should be able to play your saved games as normal.

OK I tried New Game and it worked fine for the new household but now if I go back to the previous household I can't even purchase the lot so the problem has worsened. Its obviously something in the lot that I've built that is crashing the game.

I've noticed that someone else in the forum is having the exact same problem as me.

Are you using CC on the new lot? If so, that could be causing the problem. Just trying to eliminate possibilities.

problem occurs without CC, Mods or Scripts as I originally stated.

But the new lot worked fine just the one I built in the original save causes issues

Did you try to repair your game from Origin? Right click on the game in Origin and you should see the option to repair. Also try updating to the latest version of Yosemite (10.10.3)

I mentioned in my first reply to you that I did a repair on the game.

I'll try updating Yosemite but I won't hold my breath on that being the problem for this very specific crash. Usually OS problems from my experience cause games either to not load, crash on start or crash after a specific time.

Were you trying to install the Cupcake Maker on the Retail Lot? That has been known to cause issues on both the Windows and Mac versions.
