Unable to open game [ Edited ]

Since installing this update Origin has failed to work.

Ever since i upgraded to macOS Catalina, whenever i launch sims 4..

1) i receive an error message that the game is running

2) exit the game and delete user lock data

3) launch the game again, no save data

4) exit the game

5) drag my saved files somewhere else

6) delete my sims 4 folder

7) launch sims 4 again 

8) exit the game again

9) shift my previous saved files into the new sims 4 folder

10) launch the game again

It now takes me 10 steps every single time i launch sims 4

oh! not to forget... after the 10th step, when i am finally able to load my saved files and launch the game successfully...

11) all the pop ups that you get when you install a new expansion/game pack will appear again, which i have to close 1 by 1 ( i have ALL the expansion packs and ALL the gamepacks.. see how many pop ups i have to close now?)

12) when i load my saved files, i have to place new lots from the expansion/game packs again 

DO NOT upgrade to macOS Catalina! That .is my recommendation to everyone.

@007sladegreenyou need to trust unverified apps in your mac system => apps => allow untrusted apps

Mine says The Sims 4 is already running, when it's not (that I know of).  I shut down origin, my computer, still says it

@weilinnn Yup, it's a pain to do right now and until there's a proper fix.

For what it's worth though, you don't *need* to do 2 & 3 separately. You can just go straight to dragging your TS4 folder out of the EA folder after the first exit. Still frustrating (especially with having to redo all game settings every time) but a little less.
