I've repaired the game...still not working MAC

Hi everyone,

Here are my computer specs:

Macbook Pro (13-inch, 2017, four thunderbolt 3 ports)

Processor: 3.1 GHz Dual Core Intel Core i5

MacOS Big Sur

Memory 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Graphics Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB

My game seems to load to the main screen just fine. When I create a new household or click on a previous household, it takes ages to load (or it doesn't load at all). If I manage to get into the household, I'm usually unable to save - my computer says it's run out of memory (my storage is fine - 120gb available). My computer really heats up when playing, then the warning comes on about no memory left. If the game allows me to play, anytime I click it lags or it doesn't do what I just clicked - both in build mode nor in the normal gameplay.

Things I've tried:

1. Repairing the game

2. Repairing the game multiple times

3. Installed today's update

4. Made sure I'm at the most recent operating system

5. Restarted my computer

6. Uninstalled the game and Origin and reinstalled

7. Uninstalled the game and just downloaded the original game with no stuff/expansions/etc. 

8. I have no mods/third party things so I can't delete those

9. I deleted all my saved files, uninstalled and reinstalled the game

10. Ran Apple Diagnostics to see if there are issues - there are none.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I ended up figuring it out. I deleted my Electronic Arts folder in my documents and everything is now working fine.

It could well be running out of memory as you have 8Gb RAM. Are you running other apps when you are playing the game?
