I can't update my game

Hi, i've been trying to update my game for two days now. I have Sims 4 on Mac and was very excited to try the new Caribbean stuff but my game just won't update. I tried doing it manually and it says my game is up to date. I try uninstalling Origine but I had no luck either. I also tried closing the automatic update function.
I don't know what to do I really want to try the new content

Are you running 10.10.5 Yosemite? If so there is currently an issue which EA are aware of - https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/Empty-Game-Library-Server-Error/m-p/6938454#M13245
You can upgrade to El Capitan or later to fix this. The next beta of Origin will have a fix in it and should be released shortly, with the patch being released soon afterwards.

Ok, thanks for confirming. Please can you try the following:
- In your Applications folder right click on the Sims 4 app and select Show Package Contents.
- Navigate to Contents > Mac OS.
- Right click on The Sims 4 and select Move to Trash. Don't drag the file as it will only move an alias and leave the original in place. If there is another file in the folder, The Sims 4.par, leave it alone.
- Now open Origin, click on The Sims 4 in your Games Library and click on Download
