I can't see my Sims, I can only see their plumbombs.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just turn on the game.
What happens when the bug occurs? I can't see my sims - I can only see their plum bombs. I've saved and reloaded the game several times and it's lagging a lot too.
What do you expect to see? I expected to see my sims.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The last patch with customisable pronouns, but it was getting glitchy before that too.

Thank you for replying. I'm sorry, I don't understand the question? What do you mean by Mode please? It's a MacBook Air. I use Origin to play Sims - I don't know if that helps at all.

@crinrict Sorry I feel silly now but for some reason it wouldn't let me delete or edit my comment oops! I don't know where to find which version my Mac is using but it's the one before macOSMonterey.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?opening the game, go in manage worlds or go in a save, in an household
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims are invisible. On manage worlds we see nothing, in the household, the plumbob just floats over an invisible sim. It happens even when I restart my game and if I wait the sims to appear
