Help with Sims 4 Mods on Mac??

So I posted a few days ago and could not figure out why my mods weren't popping up in my game. I had done everything right and FINALLY I saw the few cc I downloaded and they worked great. 

Then, I went online and downloaded a bunch more cc and put them in my mods folder where the others were that are working, and they aren't popping up!

I can't figure out why the original ones I downloaded are working but not these. They are all updated and work with the current patch. My game is updated as well. Please help!

Could you provide a screenshot of the contents of your Mods folder please?

Sure, here's a screenshot of the mods folder and then a screenshot of the contents of for example my "objects" folder within the mods.

Sorry, stupidly busy in RL.

Move out your whole Mods folder to the desktop then launch the game so a new one is created in the Sims 4 folder. Quit the game and move back some of your CC a few bits at a time, launching the game after adding each batch to check they're showing up.

I did that and a new Mods folder wasn't created... any idea on this?

Hmmm, that's odd. Are your saves loading ok? Could you play a household for a few minutes then quit and see if it regenerates?

I did, and still nothing unfortunately.

That's ok. Move all your CC to a different folder then move the Mods folder, including the Resource.cfg file, back into the Sims 4 folder. Load the game to check it's working (making sure CC is enabled in the options) then quit and add one piece of CC. Is that one piece showing up?

A weird thing is happening where I did this and even though I took all of my mods out of the mods folder, all of the original mods that were there are still in my game....
