Help! Sims 3 Starter pack for MAC won't launch comes up as 'unknown error'

I downloaded the Sims 3 starter pack for my MAC, but when i click on the game to launch it just says: ''unknown error'' and won't start

Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of your desktop and select About This Mac. Please provide the following information (you may need to click on "More Info" depending on what operating system you're running:

- Mac model

- Are you running any antivirus?
- Do you have Time Machine/Spotify/Dropbox or similar running?

how do i know if it is? should i download it anyway ?

Does the game launcher appear? If so, you can check the left bottom corner, there you'll find the game version.

the only thing that appears is the origin app with my sims game on it and when i click play the unknown error comes up, i dont see anything in any corners @fons_garmo

Okay, please try downloading and installing 1.67 update as I suggested before.
