Has anyone played Sims 3 on MacBook Air?

I just bought a MacBook Air and before I download anything I wanted to see if anyone has successfully downloaded and played Sims 3 on their MacBook Air. I seemed to have been able to play it on my old MacBook but it was very slow (it was overloaded) so I want to see what peoples experiences have been to know if it is worth even trying to download.
