Got a new mac, Sims 4 won't install or uninstall

I had Origin and Sims 4 on my old macbook pro for a while and recently got a new macbook pro. Downloaded Origin, downloaded Sims 4 from my account, it installed, and then suddenly when it tries to finalize, it just stops. I've tried everything I can think of and everything ea help suggested. I even tried opening a new account and buying the game again, had the exact same issue. Has anyone had and solved a similar issue??

No need to buy the game again, the purchase is tied to your Origin account, not the machine. If you have purchased it twice, apply for a refund.

Even though it says finalise, have you tried launching the game from the Sims 4 app in your Applications folder? By default it installs to your user account Applications folder, not the system Applications folder.
