Hi!

I have had a long round of issues. First of all, my Origin did not work, and it would neither open or close. Therefore, I had to shut down my mac to be able to reinstall it, and now it works. But - after I reinstalled it and updated my sims 4 game, the game will not open. I have tried pretty much everything:

- Repair the game in Origin (including all of my packs)

- Empty my CC/mods folder, so there is no CC in the way

- Reinstalling Origin, logging in and out, turned my mac on and off, restarted the mac

- Tried the Origin reset tool

- Moved my Sims 4 folder to my desktop

- Tried everything this link says: https://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-Mac/Error-135dec40-90f690cf-00000075-495f32a0-HELP/td-p/7041608

Is anyone able to help me? I really do not want to lose all of my gameplay..

// The pictures show the error message and the information about my mac.

@synnedavidsen

Please run the Origin reset tool then try again.

@synnedavidsen

Ok. Could you move the whole Sims 4 folder to the desktop and then launch your game and see if a new, clean game works and saves properly? Your current saves will be safe in the folder you moved.

I understand now that my list of what I have done was not fully completed. I have done this as well, but the same error message shows up.

@synnedavidsen

Hmm. You haven't made any changes to the core game files?

Set up a new user account on your Mac and play a new game in that account to test whether it still happens.

@Bluebellflora I have not made any changes.

I am currently travelling, so I have a really bad wifi connection. It is therefore taking me a long time to download the game on a new account, but it is progressing Standard smile

@synnedavidsen

You shouldn’t have to download the game again if you created an Administrator account, all the Applications should be accessible.

It is an administrator account but I still have to download the game separately for that account..
