Entire MacBook Air crashing while playing sims 4

Hi,

I got a new MacBook and and restored it as a backup from my old MacBook. when I play the sims 4 for a number of hours my MacBook Air completely freezes and I have to manually restart the computer. 
This never happened with my old MacBook and I had the same packs and CC installed etc. I’ve tried reinstalling origin and it doesn’t change the outcome. 

hoping someone can let me know if I need to reinstall my mods etc?
