I have a 2015 version of the Mac and I’ve bought sims university and i can’t figure out why it’s not working when my origin says it is but I’ve no options to play?

I have had the EXACT same problem even deletd 100 photos thinking  didn't have enough space i am so pissed off! I want a refund and have emailed my frustration.

Im so frustrated I just wasted money buying this game! No warning what so ever that the legacy game won’t allow university. Which is weird because I bought parenthood and seasons only weeks ago and it works fine. Like do I have to buy sims 4 again ? My computer isn’t even that older. I’m really hoping Origin will give me back my money!

You cannot "turn off" the Legacy Edition if your Mac does not support Metal - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/The-Sims-4-Legacy-Edition-thread/m-p/8420037#M22694

If you don't need it your Mac will just run the normal version of the game and ignore the installed Legacy Edition. To remove it entirely you must uninstall the game and Legacy Edition and then only download the main game.
