Download is stuck and black screen with music in the background?

I have tried to play sims 4 today and when opening the game the graphics comes up then it changes to a black screen and you can still hear the music. I have tried un-installing origin and re-downloading i have tried clearing the cache? Another issue is that now origin is stopping mid update and will not progress any further. I am playing on a mac if this helps, anyone had this issue that could help me please!

When you finally manage to update see if that fixes your other issue.

Was you able to fix this issue? i am able to update the game but still have a black screen and the music playing when I open the game and it is loading??

Move your Sims 4 folder from Documents > Electronic Arts to the desktop and see if you can launch the game successfully.
