Wants to download expansion to wrong user

I am trying to update my game and keep getting a download error. 

MacOS Catalina

MacBook Pro (13 in 2019)

Processor: 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core I5

Graphics: Intel Irus Plus Graphics 645 1536 mb

Hey

Is the game installed to the system Applications folder or a user account Applications folder? If user, are you logged into that user account when trying to update?

it is under Macintosh HD /applications is it supposed to be under the username?

I also should mention I followed the troubleshooting tip for origin not updating and deleted the sims 4 file, when I try to repair it has the same error.

My sister and I share an Origin account, but I am the only who uses it (she had opened the game the first time, only made it far in CAS and had enough), and now with the new patch (Wednesday, 3rd June 2020) I keep getting a download error (I will attach the picture below), the last time I had gotten this notification; I had to go to my sisters account to download the new patch, I did that today, but I still got the notification (the picture that I had attached), is there any chance to stop this? Or is there any chance to delete Origin on my sister's account without it deleting on mine?

No that's fine in the system Apps folder. You will probably have to uninstall and reinstall

Just checking, you logged into the fozia account and tried to update your game there? Run the Origin reset tool then try updating again in the fozia account https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/

@Bluebellflora Yeah I think it might be because I migrated my sims 4 files instead of doing a clean install when I got my new Mac. Oh well. Thanks!
