I updated and repaired it. It immediately froze as soon as I clicked on a face to edit it.

Chip Apple M1
8 GB

@MaxisJoeI did this and the game opened, but it crashes every time giving the following error message:
"Unable to start:
Origin is currently not running. Please make sure that Origin is running before attempting to play The Sims™ 4
[d3382ced:984c6a38:00000000:00000000]"
For context, Origin is definitely open as I launched the game from there, not the separate app shortcut.
