Cheat menu causes game to stop responding

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue when I try to place a lot. If I open the cheat menu to turn on free real estate, it works, but when I close it, the box will close but the screen stays greyed out and I can’t do anything. I can’t even open the cheat menu again. This has been a problem since the latest update and I’m not sure what to do about it. I don’t know if it happens during gameplay because I haven’t been able to get that far yet! I have mods so restarting my game takes a while. It’s really frustrating. Anyone know what’s causing it or what I can do besides just not opening the cheat menu?

Move out your Mods folder to the desktop then launch the game and try, does it still happen? If so, could you please provide another screenshot showing this without the Mods? You can screenshot your screen by holding down CMD, Shift and pressing 3, the image will bee saved to your desktop.
