Can't open origin after i've downloaded the sims 3

so ive had the sims 3 for about 3 years now, and it has been working fine until a couple of weeks ago. my game started to crash so i completely removed it along with origin. but now every time i reinstall origin i can only install the sims 3 and not my expansion packs and i cant even open origin anymore. i spend a lot of money on this game so i would like to play it at its fullest, and that includes my eps. ive been looking for an solution but no one seems to have the same problem. i hope some one can help me!
