Can't freely rotate objects- MAC

Hi there, I have been trying to freely rotate objects in the game for some time now and nothing seems to work. I have a macbook pro and have put moveobjects on, used the sims 3 camera and used the option key ( which I believe is the alt key on mac) and the <> keys. Not sure what to do!

No, hold down the Alt key then click and drag on the trackpad and it should spin freely. Let go when you have it at the angle you desire.

@Bluebellflora Yes the trackpad to rotate the viewpoint and <> keys to try and rotate the objects

it doesn’t work. Holding down Alt and only makes it so you can PLACE it anywhere. Not turn it to whatever angle. This really annoys me when someone tells you it’s something but it’s not. I need to know ASAP what they let us because I’m building a house for my friend for her YouTube series 😖

It should work to free rotate the object, it certainly does for most people. Sometimes 3rd party screenshot or video capture software installed on your Mac can interfere with the Mac keys. Or changing the Modifier keys in System Preferences. Or having a sticky Alt key, do you have a second one you can try on the other side of the space bar? Can you try another keyboard?

@EBW70025042 you have to hold alt and PRESS the trackpad/Mousebutton. If you just hold alt it only moves free from the grid, if you press trackpad/Mousebutton you can rotate, works only in "The Sims 3 Kamera"-Setting
