Can't click buttons in Sims 4

Hi hi,

I recently upgraded to the newest version of the sims and now, the game will load but i can't click directly on any buttons. 

If it allows me to click, my mouse has to be sort of below the actual button. However, more often than not, it does not allow me to click. I couldn't even exit the game this morning, I had to force quit the program.

My current operating system is MacOS Catalina 10.15.3

I'm confused and frustrated, any help is greatly appreciated!

I know this is quite a while ago but I’m having this same problem too. I’ve tried a normal and hard repair. The only thing that seems to work is changing the screen resolution but then that affects the size of other things on my computer (outside of game). Any suggestions?
