@niamhyy9720 Have you tried playing in windowed mode with all the graphics settings on minimum? I'm not saying you necessarily need to play like that going forward, but it's a useful test. And if the game does crash again, please let me know whether it's only when you speed up the game clock or other times as well.
When testing, please use a clean Sims 3 folder: move the existing one out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop; when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Don't add anything to it yet. Load the game to the Main Menu, put it in windowed mode (cmd-enter), turn the settings to the minimum, quit, reload, and see how it goes.
Please also let me know whether you've been playing with a pet in the family, and if so, whether it helps to not have one.
@Satinisim With the game on minimum settings, does it ever crash other than when you change the clock speed? Which packs do you have installed, and do you have a pet in the household? Please also test in a clean Sims 3 folder, as described above.

So update: started a new game in a completely new folder, turned down all graphics (eek) but seems to be freezing and lagging a lot less. I made a one sim household (compared to the 2 sims and a dog in the other) which may also be a factor. Going to continue to mess with graphic settings to see if i can get it to a level that is playable but doesn't look completely 2D. Another 'issue' that I noticed and forgot to mention in my first post is to do with the camera controls. Even with edge scrolling off, I literally cannot stop it moving right and left sometimes and the tilting up and down goes the whole way even when I click the button once. Same thing happens when I use the keyboard controls. Don't know if its related to the freezing and crashing but its the only other main issue I've had. Wonder if anyone else who has had the freezing/crashing also has the camera control issues if they could possibly be related..? (I doubt it but it's worth checking)

@niamhyy9720 The keyboard controls are pretty broken right now. Please click Me Too and post in this thread:
I haven't heard of the buttons on the UI being similarly affected though. There has been one report that a different keyboard command (undo or redo) caused a crash in someone else's game, but I think that's it.
I don't think you've attached a deviceconfig.log to this thread, so please do now—it'll show your hardware and in-game settings. You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else identifying in that file.
@Vibama Please also attach a deviceconfig, as above, and let us know if there's any pattern to the crashing, for example if you speed up the game clock or load a different lot.

No, It just crash once for the moment I only have seasons and late night so I don't have any pets. I will try to clean the sims 3 folder.
Update: it keeps doing the same thing (laggy)

@Satinisim I'd still love to see a deviceconfig, so I know what hardware and settings you have.
@niamhyy9720 That's exactly the info I was looking for, thanks.

@Kianaaaa998 When is your game crashing, and do you notice any other slowdowns, spinning cursors, etc. when you're playing but before you get a crash? A little more info would be helpful.
Please also attach your deviceconfig.log, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. You'll neeed to manually open the folders; the file won't show up in a search. You can delete your user and computer names, about 25 lines down, but there's nothing else in that file that can identify you.
