Because ever since I'be brought it there has been small problems like the screen completey glitching out occasinally but heres the info

Thanks, that now makes a lot of sense. You don't have a 2019 16" MacBook Pro, you have a 2017 15" MacBook Pro.

I have merged your thread into this one as Sierra is currently causing issues with the game for those with AMD GPUs (which you have). You need to upgrade your macOS to 10.13 High Sierra or later - https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208969 or you can upgrade to the current macOS 10.15 Catalina through the Mac App Store.

tried legacy edition and original. Also tried minimizing the fullscreen in the Options ini file.

I bought it thinking i was gonna be able to handle it specs wise, but maybe i overlooked something. Really was excited to play this. Pretty bummed. Any help of course is greatly appreciated thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi everyone,

The Sims 4 hasn't worked on my Mac for months now. Whenever I try to launch the game, it zooms in on my desktop screen (which is normal) but then splits my screen in half. The right side of the screen is black, the left shows my desktop zoomed in. After that it shows the little rainbow loading wheel thing and that's how it stays. My Mac completely freezes like that and the only thing I can do is restart it.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims 4 and also Origin multiple times, repaired the game on Origin, everything is updated to the latest version, removed all mods, moved the Electronic Arts folder to my desktop and tried launching the game from Launchpad.

So far none of those things have worked for me. Please let me know if you have any other solutions. I would really appreciate it.

@DaggersnDunders post your specs, i think the issue is you need high sierra
