Hi,
This is exactly how it happened to me, 15-20min game then the game quits. It's still playable, i logged in again after it crashed, but you have to save your gameplay like every 10mins to get ahead before it crashes, it crashed on me again. That was played on a Macbook Pro Retina 13" 2015 8gb ram (which has more than 300GB of free space on it). Yes I had lots of CC when it happened but I had all that great CC way BEFORE the patch and my game was running FINE, til I updated NOV 2020. So I'm tryna install Sims 4 now on my newer laptop, a Macbook Pro 2020 13", lower processor spec but a totally new machine with no CC. If Sims 4 still crashes on this 2020 laptop when I run the game with no CC, then it isn't my mods that are the problem. Will report back.

Hey just FYI I ( and a few others I've seen) have never used mods or CC and are having this same issues.

I've repaired my game, did everything you need to do. But it is still crashing

Hi.. Sims 4 player on a 2020 Macbook Pro here...
Same problem that many have recently reported, since the latest Nov2020 update. Just randomly crashing (ie. auto-closes the game, brings you out to your desktop screen with Origin window). No error warnings, lingering graphics or anything. Just boom - game closes. I don't use any mods or anything special running and I wasn't doing anything odd in-game, just cooking, I think. This is about the 6th time it's happened now. Sometimes it happens after a longer period of playtime, but this time, I was only about 15-20 mins in. I've been trying to save often since it's been crashing so much, but I can never gauge when it might happen again. I hope you guys can fix this soon. I just bought a few new packs/expansions during the recent sale and I've been wanting to play & explore them.
Thanks in advance!

I've having the same issue as well, random crashing on a Mac with no warning. Happens in various locations and varying times.

IM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE!!
Im new to playing The Sims on Mac and I was cursing at my Mac blaming apple and wondering why I bought it!!! I understand they’re not gaming laptops but thought it’d run decent enough but now I’m not so sure. I assume this is ongoing with EA bugging it for Mac users? As soon as I updated my game it’s popping up with The Sims 4 has quit unexpectedly and bad access codes. Relieved it’s not just me though and hope they fix it soon!

It crashed once in the middle of leveling up a toddler's skills so they could age up. Came back and all that work was gone. The poor kid was back to only 1 pathetic skill point in Mobility. Ugh. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Just adding myself to the list of users experiencing the crashing and unable to play longer than 5 minutes. Ridiculouuuus. Hopefully it's fixed ASAP.
Also... they need to fix the bug with freelancing careers never completing a gig.
