Yes, But it continues to pop up as a 'unknown error'.

I'm sorry but I don't know why yours is not working. If you have followed all the instructions this is a 100% fix.
The files for the problematic packs must be in the folder for the most recent pack you have installed by release date. For example, if you have Into the Future installed then that is the pack folder which should have the LN/Ambitions/Fast Lane/Outdoor Living files copied into.

Hi guys. I'm so glad I was able to solve such a large issue for many. But now I am experiencing an issue many others have been complaining about that I have not experienced until just now. I have just my sims 3 base game downloaded and am getting the unknown error occurred message. I do not know what to do, and honestly, don't want to invest so much time into figuring it out for myself like I did with the expansion packs. Anyone have a fix for this?

Hi -
I have an iMac 27inch, bought in June 2015, with an AMD Radeon R9 M380 2GB Graphics Card.
In installing the base game - note: i ONLY have the base game installed - i receive the Unknown Error as soon as i click to open the game.
In looking through the various threads here, i can't fine anyone with the same iMac as me that has a resolve for this.
This isn't yet relevant to any of the Expansion Packs, purely the base game.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance...

Thanks for the response!

I've done that, and still the same unknown error. It won't even open the launcher!
Any thoughts?

Hi, I downloaded and installed all the expansions I have onto my MacBook, but when I try to launch the game it says there's an unknown error. Having just the Sims 3 base game worked though so I wasn't sure why this happened?
Thanks~
