Hello,
I've been experiencing the same issues since the September patch, posted this like a month ago on this forum (this or a merged thread). I must say, I'm still experiencing the issues, but my game is not completely unplayable. I've noticed the game lags a little first and only when I continue (and especially spin my camera more or very fast) it freezes.
I have a habit of saving my game a lot (I've had this habit for years, since I had an issue when my Sims 4 game crashed every time a time machine backup was initiated).
But most importantly, I spin my camera very slowly now... Every time the game lags a little bit when spinning the camera, I save and restart. It's sad of course that I have to adjust and interrupt my gameplay because of a stupid bug, but hey... This way, I'm still enjoying my game :-)
Of course, whether it's an issue on EA's end or Apples end, I hope someone discovers what's causing this freezing thing and it gets fixed either by EA or Apple...
So here's the information from my Terminal:

I do the same thing, many saves and restarts, but I can’t get 20-30 minutes without a camera angle change (or zoom in) to eventually lead to a full freeze. Sometimes the first few times I get the spinning wheel and it unfreezes itself, but it always progresses to a full freeze the next time.
Yesterday I tried and I got a full game freeze immediately upon loading a lot and zooming in.

Just a thought... Because I was just having lots of freezing on a particular lot in my save...
Could this issue maybe have something to do with the new way the game treats/calculates windows and doors? That broke cc windows for one, but maybe the calculations (or something way too technical for me, I don't know much about this stuff tbh) the game now makes, somehow mess up the way the graphics cards in our iMacs work? I dunno...
The lot I was having the issues with (save file I sent to @Bluebellflora ) is a lot with cc windows that I 'fixed' for the time being by placing Basegame windows on top of them with bb.moveobjects on.

@znijnz Definitely goes along with an earlier theory that something in the the more recent patches is triggering this to happen. If only they could figure out what. I don’t know coding or technology either but I personally have never had a game just not work like this. Even sims 3 wouldn’t do this particular problem to my Mac which is so bizarre to me.
